Your battery is still perfectly fine. It is just as safe as all the other batteries that never had the collar. If I lived near you, I would save thousands of dollars on dive gear !

The charger I bought from Amazon so was considering returning it.
But of course now I have a butchered battery, one old charger and one new.
Looks like I'll just buy some orca torch 21700 batteries which are USB-C direct charge and return to Amazon the new charger.
I'm a bit anti orca torch though.
I'm really good at wasting money, it's my skill.

Now I'm worried againDo be sure not to short between the metal ring and the metal bump on the battery. But that is true for every battery.
