Sounds wonderful to me. While some people live near diving, it may be limited in variety. Considering you could reach Key Largo with a more extended drive, you've got quite a range of diving within reasonable driving distance, and knocking airfare out of the equation makes trips a good deal less expensive, especially for those traveling as a family.

I drive down to Key Largo whenever I have an acute need to dive the Spiegel Grove, the Duane, and the Bibb. With the variety I have readily available to me, this is not very frequent, but I do love those dives
