as the title says i just saw this and it seems like i good deal, but is 12x really fast enough for use underwater?

I have two slow cards. Didn't know they were that slow until I used them for a while.

After researching and asking lots of questions, I would never buy anything less than 32X and more if I could.

I have one 52x and I have no idea what the Viking card is that I have, but I do notice big difference in writing speeds.

Unfortunately the Oly 5050 isn't listed nor are many other non dSLR cameras

Its often the camera not the card that is the bottleneck. Buy the card that works for your camera. The D70 can use fast cards, in my CP 5000 they didn't matter.

You might just want to check out the place that I ordered mine from. Right now they are offering a 512MB 52x for $89 and a 256 52x for $49. They delivered with in a couple of days.
