Is there someting to keep tanks from rolling around the trunk?

Why not place your weights on either side?
 
A manifold and pack works great, gives you twice as much air too.
 
I've used both weights and the tank holder described above...both work well.

Tank holders are thick cylindrical neoprene shapes connected by a chord at the bottoms and tops. They are excellent for single tanks and for deco bottles. They even work well for DPVs as well! They cost about $25 at your local dive store.

Or you could make your own, out of wooden 2x4s and rope from a hardware store.

I went with the neoprene ones because they are lighter, and then I did not need to spend time on constructing them. Time is something I have very little of these days, since the last promotion at work, to director. Dive time is good. Construction time is fun but not as good.
