Hello, I am new.

As if you could not already tell, by the question asked. I scheduled a discover scuba session for tomorrow for my wife and I. This is a kind of introductory session to get people interested in scuba. It is held at a local dive shop in their pool. If we like the experience and want to persuse certification they offer training courses.

I am pretty excited about trying this out as it is something that I always wanted to do.

To my point, is there a glossary on this site that explains what some of the terms and acronyms are? Being new it is a little difficult to decipher all of the lingo..

Hey 6mile,
Welcome to the board.
Hope you have fun with the DSD tomorrow. Let us know how it went and whether you got the bug to go it all the way. :D

Well? How did it go?

I took a couple to the local quarry one day last weekend and did a DSD. They had a blast even though the visibility was only 8 feet in the best spots and 4 feet in most areas.
Hope you had a great time!

Yes indeed! Tell us how'd it go? :D
