I would guess you have a particular reason for using a FFM, coms being one of them, Jeff in the case of the KM48 gas switches are slightly different to a standard mask and OC regs and again a matter of training, you can do it with your eyes closed one of the great features of the KM48 is the removable pod for gas switching and emergencies.Boogie711:It may be an excellent, safe, versatile FFM which will even do your laundry for you on non-dive days. But it's not DIR.
I can see why - wearing a FFM interferes with your ability to do simple gas switches, and definitely makes doing OOA drills a much larger chore.
