I'm going to be in Los Angeles in May and am considering attending the Scuba Show. I heard it is like the old Queen Mary show. I'm curious if you can by gear there or is it just a looksie type of thing. Also, I want to do some diving while I'm down there and I'm looking for a good shop to deal with in the LA area.

The show is pretty good. You can purchase gear there, but it must be delivered...you can't buy/take. Here is a link for last year's show.

I've gone each year for the last 5 or so. I'll probably pass this year.

I went last year for the first time. I definitely found it worthwhile. I found it helpful to meet manufacturer reps face to face, to get questions answered I had about their equipment and just see what they are like.

Well, I won a jacket, and a nice pair of tusa split fins, so, from a swag perspective at least, I'd say yeah! :)

Any Scuba show is worth going and checking out...how dare you ask that question :-)

If you cant get into DEMA you might as well go to the Queen Marry show--- DEMA is much better!!!!
