Hello,

I am planning a dive trip to Morehead City or Hatteras and was wondering if September would be a good time to come? What kind of vis and ocean conditions can we expect in Sept?

Thanks,

September is one of the better months, except when a named storm comes a calling. Viz and water temps are at their best, unless a storm passes by and the surge stirs it up.

Chances are, you will get great diving. My daughter is getting married in late September in Beaufort (next to Morehead). She doesn't have a hurricane plan.
