I know this isn't the first time this has been brought up but the last time was quite a while ago. So, since there are a lot of newer people here since the last time the question was asked, I'd like to ask it again.
I'm guess I'm just curious about it.
I've noticed that a number of you call scuba diving a "sport."
I've never thought of it as such. Why? Because - to me - a sport is something that is a competition performed within a specific set of rules.
Hobby? Sure.
Activity? Uh-huh.
Strenuous? You bet.
Competitive? Just the diving itself? No. I mean, please tell me where I'm wrong here.
Sport? I don't think so.
What's your opinion?
