If the wing is new (not just new to you), and not holding air, why would you want to mess with it, trying to do a self diagnosis? Just send it back and have the shop send you a new one that does not lose air. With some sales ops, if you put it in the water, or mess around with the components, they won't take the appropriate responsibility, or replace the item.

If you're going to be a diver, you need to know how to find problems and fix little things on your own.

If the bladder was leaking, that's a "send it back" kind of problem. If it's a loose dump or a piece of trash or shipping material in the OPV or dump, just fix it yourself.

I am 100% sure that if the bladder was leaking, Oxycheq would take it back for replacement with no questions asked if it had been in your bathtub. In my one experience with Oxycheq, they were completely focused on making sure I was a happy customer, even though it cost them a few bucks. I'm positive they would stand behind their product.

Totally agree that divers should know how to find problems and fix little things on your. However, dump valves should not come loose during shipping (my bcds travel by car, plane, and ship without any incidence of loosening valves), nor should you find trash or shipping materials in the OPV or dump valves. For me, any of those issues would make me question the quality control in the manufacturing or shipping process, regardless of whether or not I could identify and possibly fix the problem. If I buy a new product like scuba gear that I depend on for life support, it damn well better work without me having to screw around with it right out of the box. If we fix problems caused by poor workmanship or packing, we are essentially relieving the manufacturer of responsibility to avoid the problem from the get go. I only brought up the issue of not putting it in the water to try to diagnose the leak problem was because I had the same leaking issue on a recently purchased Zeagle bcd, and the LP rep was very insistent that I "not put the bcd in the water to try to detect the air leak...just send it back." Sounded like they would have less difficulty exchanging it if the bcd had never been in the water.
 
I tend to agree with you, however for what ever reason the OP decided to try and find the issue himself so was given advice accordingly. Looks like that train has left the station. I did suggest "if practical" he take it back. Customer service from Oxy is renowned for being less than average, but if he bought locally the dealer should be able to rectify issue. Assuming fresh water, dry it out thoroughly and no one need know it got wet. Good luck OP.
 
Well, the problem is, I buy these things online and I m in Hong Kong
it will cost me $50-100 to ship it back and have a replacement
That's why I want to see if I can fix it on my own rather than sending it back

plus, I have email to the retailer but no reply for 2days
I will just wait for another day to see if I will get any reply

I think if it was something as simp,e as a loose fitting or corrugated hose then a self fix would definately be the way to go, but if there is an issue with the OPV particular the bladder side it might be worth considering returning, although it's not a difficult fix it will require you buy parts and the tool if you replace whole unit. Can you call the dealer?

i bought 2 30lb wing but the dealer sent me a 18 lb.
so I really need the dealer to give me a reply

It is the weekend here in the US and the shop may be closed. You may need to wait until Monday for an answer. I am not sure how you paid for it but if you receive no response I would contact the credit card company or Paypal for a hold on the funds to the shop. That usually gets their attention. I am not sure of Oxycheq's warranty but from what I remember there are dealers in Hong Kong. They may be able to fix it for you.
