A friend of mine is selling his octopus with a reg. and an alternate. He has only used the set-up once. One of the regs attached to it is a SeaQuest Mirage and the other one is another SeaQuest one, but I am not sure of the specific kind. He had originally paid quite a bit for it and I am going to be giving him around 100$ for it (less if I can try!). Does this deal seem worth it in the eyes of anyone else? I am fairly new to diving and it just makes sense to me because it is one less very expensive peice of gear that I would have to rent.
 
Maybe. Expect to pay $50-$100 for the necessary shop service before you can use it.

I haven't heard of that model so it's probably kind of old.. should work fine as long as you have a shop check it out.
