Anyone have the price of a SS backplate (only) from them? Do they come in sizes? Different weights?

Tried their website everyday for like 2 weeks :shakehead Not real smart having your website down for the entire holiday season :11:

Have a look at the archived pages, though prices may have changed: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.hammerheadscuba.com/

Pricing from last February: http://web.archive.org/web/20060209082810/hammerheadscuba.com/pricepoint.htm

I doubt the prices have changed. Call them and find out. They were $99 for the plate.

I was planning on stopping by their shop last week and checking it out but didn't get a chance. They are about ten miles from my front door....

The old price was $79 for a SS plate, $100 for plate and STA. Less for AL.

I just got one. Cold water package comes with a SS BP, and either Heavy or light STA ~ $99. Warm water package comes with an Alum BP, and light STA, $69. I *think* the Alum BP is $59, and the SS is $79. I *think* the light STA is $49, and the heavy is $59.

This is from memory, so I may not have it all right, but it's going to be VERY close.

For the $$$ I would not bother with buying one of anything. IOW's I want a lighter STA for WW diving, but it would be stupid to purchase just a BP, or STA when for $20 more I can get the WW package price.

S&W metal productions is HUGE and they do not rely on their BP business to stay afloat hence the low pricing.

I'm very happy with the design, weight, and quality of Hammerhead. You can see photos of the new setup HERE.

Hey Ron, I've been looking for info on backplate profiles, namely how much the plates are bent: http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=169133

Could you measure the bend on the HH plate for me, or just trace the profile of the bottom of the plate on a piece of paper and send a pic (taken from directly above) of it to me. I'd just like to know.

I just got off the phone with them
$99.99 Cold water special (no handles, single/heavy sta)
$12.50 shipping (ups ground)
-----------------
$112.49 Total

Shipping tomorrow!!

Thanks for the site archive and the phone #!

FYI - The phone # on the archived site is disconnected, use (610) 473-2400 and they only have plate without handles in stock. (I didn't want them anyway ;))

They flat rate ship, so $12.50 IS the price anywhere in the USA for the cold water package.

They no longer make the BP with handles. They thought it was something that would be popular, but it was not, so it's no longer available.
