Just looked at the marine forcast and they're saying 20-25 knot west winds and 4-6' seas. I have a shot at a Saturday dive but it does not look good with that forecast.

No Green, I'm not doing fresh water, just to boring. Especially this time of year when all the fish have gone deep.

Any other suggestions?

Sleep in? That's what I decided on :)

Seriously....find a shore diving spot on Cape Ann. Old Garden Beach and a few other sites very rarely get blown out. A west wind is not bad for north shore, as it puts you in the lee of the entire US.

Hey Cecil.

My NOAA link has SW Winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 to 4 Ft. for the Sunday forcast. If I recall, you were hoping to do Folly Cove. That will certainly be doable.

Enjoy!

Nubble is frequently dive-able even with a west wind. That's where I plan on diving. If I can't I'll head to a lake ... I don't care about the fishes. :eyebrow:

Try True Blue/Esperanza Quarry in West Rutland, VT. Was there today. Fabulous day. No current, surge, excellent vis. Lot's of cool stuff to see. Model T Frame, Chevy Impala, Jeep Cherokee, Rambler.. Hey, I had to get in and didn't want to dive in washing machine. There is info on site in previous threads. Worth drive.

Pretty nice over there by the sound of it. What was the water temp yesterday?

Low 50s on surface, 42 at depth.. Glad to have had my dry suit but would have been for a couple of dives wet. Diving wet sucks topside when winds our howling. I went Thursday when it was sunny and winds were calm.
