I have dove with Dacor Tiger Fins. They were great. Do not know how they will hold up over time though. I know two people that have dacor regs and they have not had any problems. I guess, like everything else, you can get a lemon but I have not heard of any from them yet.

I have a Dacor Quantum reg, it breathes well in deep water, and it's been great for ten years. The only "problem" I have had with it is that the mouthpiece diaphragm makes noise sometimes when I am shallow, it sounds sort of like a moose in heat. I have not been attacked by any amorous aquatic moose to date, so it's not really been a big problem. :D
I would buy another one. The reg, not a moose.

I purchased my Viper America reg & Dacor bc last May as my first gear and never had a problem with the quality or performance with either item.

Should I even ask? Do I want to know?

I dunno, do you? :D

I dunno, I must be getting less risky in my old age.

I'd rather just... imagine ;)

I just bought a Dacor Metalcore Tek 7mm 2-piece wetsuit for my son. He hasn't used it yet so I can't comment on how well it will wear or work (but I will keep you posted!). However, the suit was VERY competitively priced ($130!). It has a smooth "metallic" lining at the points where it contacts your body and seems to be well made. I know it is probably not the same quality as a $400 suit, but even if it only lasts 1/3 as long, it's the same value (and more for someone who's growing). Anyway, the pricing does not seem to put it into the category of overpriced. It seems like a good option.

I'll say that was competitively priced.
Where'd you say you got that suit? :)

Got it a Leisure Pro. We went to their store in NYC to try it on. Couldn't argue with the price :whoa:

Michael ;)

I have a set of viper americas and have no problems with them at all, some may say they are hard to purge but that because the cover over the lever is there so that in swift water you dont get your tonsils freeze dried. they are externally adjustable but that hasnt caused any problems, but i do know of a person who did take the second stage boady off the hose and adjusted the reg then stuck it back on the hose and went on (now i dotn know if that would cause a air loss from the hose or not, this is just second hand info)

Why soar like an eagle when you can swim like a fish?

im an eagle scout so i can argue this, the reason eagles soar is because they are the best and master of the sky

An Eagle Soars with the best because they have proven themselves to be the rest to all others around him
