I am thinking of diving the Destin Jetties. A buddy told me that it is difficult to access, that is that you have to park a good ways away and lug gear a long ways. Can anyone share experience with me in this regard?

I do have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, if that matters.

Thanks.

Not difficult at all, just follow the shore road almost to the end near the marina. Look for shower heads near sidewalk, for public access to beach and jetty (500'). That's what we did last summer.

Good diving

I answered you in the dive report thread with a picture included - see ya there.
