The number of dives one does is irrelevant as soo many other factors are to be considered.
1) Did this person take a DIR class? If so, then all they need is 1 or 2 dives max and then they are an expert in anything related to Scuba diving and could of probably taught Jacques a thing or two.
2) Was PADI supplied the correct amount of funds....a little money goes a long way in this industry.
3) Does this person promote diving alone? It is very important that one is self-sufficient enough to dive alone as having a buddy is an endangerment.
4) Is this person capable of pushing his/her limits on every dive in order to surface with the least amount of air possible....this is a sign of a true diver.
5) Watch all of the PADI professional videos and take notes. By studying these videos, one can easily be qualified enough to become an excellent instructor. In fact, I really believe that watching these videos is of more quality than practicing the actual skills in the water.......no need to ge wet to practice the skills...dont waste your time..stay dry and watch the videos.
