Looking for a small continuous running compressor. The one I’ve seen mostly is the Invacare Homefill II. But I’m open to other ideas.

For O2? The Homefill is not really continuous rated and it also isn't a compressor as much as it is an electric booster, it requires ~20psi input acting as the first stage. The Rix Microboost is probably the only small one that is actually continuous duty rated, but also not a true compressor as it also needs LP input.

Rix SA3 is to my knowledge the smallest true continuous duty compressor out there if you're wanting to make air/nitrox. It's big brother the SA6 can be derated to ~2cfm and run off of 120v power. It's physically a bit larger, but not so bad to move around with one person.

What I meant by continuous is long enough to fill a 200cf oxygen tank. Are you saying it can’t do this, or just that it will reduce the life of the compressor. I’m interested to hear from anyone who’s doing/done this and what life they got out of the Invacare.

Between me and dive buddy, we spend almost $1000 per year on O2, so I’m thinking it would be an easy payback if it works.

Are you needing a concentrator/booster setup or just looking for the homefill assembly?
I have a concentrator/homefill sitting here that I don't use anymore. I could easy set it up for filling bulk O2 bottles.

Sometimes all it takes to be an expert on Scubaboard is to stay at holiday inn - which I did not, 😃 and I’m not referring to anyone on this thread (yet). I assume you know about the % argon in oxygen concentrator output though.

How much are you paying per cf for O2?
Airgas gets $91 tax and fees included per 200cf plus another $115 for annual tank lease. For two guys, each with their own tank, diving frequently on Nitrox or air with deco cylinders it gets close to $1000/year. And to further complicate for the benefit of your confused emotion on my earlier post, just add the cost of inconvenience to pickup and transport the bottles.

Thanks for jumping in. I almost reached out to you privately, but thought this might be a fun discussion for the myriad cheapskates on SB. 💰 I picked up a Invacare platinum 10 for $80 on the way home from diving yesterday. It’s delivering 92-94% at 10lpm so all I need is the booster (not compressor) as Mr Speed Nuts correctly pointed out. By the way, loving this separator - it is built like a tank.

Yes, I have done it many times.
Was the longevity of the booster effected?
Of course, using it effects the life, if you never use it, it will last forever.

I haven't had any issue with any of my various boosters, but they do have a finite lifespan.
I wouldn’t need to fill to 2000psi all the time. My stick takes O2 at ~3psi, so even a very light fill is more than enough pressure.
