Intova IC-12 Do you know the due date?

Just noticed a couple of sites advertising the new Intova ISS 4000 strobe when looking up this camera...

Any specs? It says "Fast recycle time (almost instantaneous for brightness 50% or less)" - what are we talking at full power? 1 sec? 3 secs? Has to be better than the ISS 2000 with 7-8 seconds...

And any idea on actual due date?

About as quick as any current 12 megapixel camera.
Seems snappy enough but it's not Polaroid.

Yes, and package includes white balance board as well.


As far as I'm aware this is the only $200 180feet ready 12mp camera in the World <period>

It's not pro, but hey, it's cheap, and does the job-- given there is no competition in the same price range and features I suppose you could say it's the best available camera in the World today with these specs.

Something I forgot to mention is that the camera is very (almost too) lightweight. Camera and underwater housing combined don't seem to weight much more than my Kodak Easyshare v1253 standalone camera.

Hey wetpup the specs look very simular to their old strobe they have put a few of the controls inside also looks to be lighter in weight. Same strobe different package.

Jims world, nice video. Do you have any lighiting? If so what are you useing and does the camera have a wide angle lens? Have you used their filter lens?
