Intova HD Sport - manual white balance?

Hi all,

I had a search but couldn't find any similar issues. My attempts at getting the manual white balance to do anything in this camera are coming up empty. The picture looks the same no matter what I calibrate it against. Any ideas?

I am setting to manual, exiting menu, pointing at whiteboard and pressing shutter. Can't see any other options.
