Sure seems pricey...

Edited to add: I forgot to include round trip air to the sister islands from GCM for the Cayman Expedition so I have adjust the price per tank below, but it is still cheaper per dive than the Aggressor ($98 versus $112).

It looks pricey at first but when you consider all that is included the price isn't bad at all, at least in my opinion. All meals and accommodations per person for 2 weeks, 42 dives, airport transfers and island transfers, all taxes and hotel gratuities; and a fairly low upcharge for the single supplement.

Right now the Aggressor fleet is offering 35% off. It's their biggest sale of the year and a week on the Cayman Aggressor with up to 27 dives works out to $112 per dive (includes transfers, diving, taxes, port fees, accommodations, and meals for one week.) And if you are traveling single then there is a big upcharge (40 to 60%?) unless you are willing to share a cabin with a same gender roommate.

Two weeks at the CBBR and LCBR with up to 42 dives works out to $98 per dive (includes transfers, taxes, accommodations, meals for two weeks, and round trip airfare to the sister islands.) You should increase the price by 18.5% for single occupancy.

Dive op tips and nitrox is extra at both venues.

Two weeks of straight diving is too much for my ears and my old bones, but for someone looking to do a lot of nice boat dives while staying and eating at a very nice venue; it's not a bad price.

I got an unexpected week free and will be spending it on the Cayman Aggressor V Nov 24-Dec 1. If I had been free for the two weeks in Sept, I would have seriously considered the 2 weeks on Brac and Little Cayman. I hope they decide to offer it again.

Exactly what my reply was going to be - aggressor all the way - it's awesome

We loved our trip on the Cayman Aggressor too, but we had great weather and spent most of our time diving off Little Cayman and the conditions were perfect. The following week right after us, the weather turned stormy and they didn't make the crossing, and we could see the Aggressor tied up on various sites around Grand Cayman. We went out on two land-based boat dives that week and it was so bad that we skipped diving for the remainder of the week; but there is a lot of stuff to do topside on GC when the weather is bad.

I believe that there is about a 25% risk that the Cayman Aggressor will not make the crossing when it is windy. In those cases you will spend the week on a boat diving sites near shore on Grand Cayman.

Weather is always a risk and there are no guarantees, but I would rather be in a resort on land when weather interferes with diving - so that is another factor for consideration when picking a Cayman dive venue.

I was bored to tears outside the diving in GC lol

I'd risk those odds for sure

I'm the opposite (at least for now). Being on the aggressor was much more fun than I ever thought it would have been. I'd be stuck on a boat with the folks I've been diving with and getting to know.
