Yes. I passed Sam Miller's test....said no one ever.

He wrote asking for funding, not looking for a limited run newsletter with 50 year old anecdotal stories. His advisor is Larry Allen, head of the Nearshore Marine Fish Program and one of the most respected figures in the local marine science community. He's a well-led graduate student in an excellent program looking to fund research and field work and offering an incentive to support his work. That's all.
