Picked up a used reg this weekend and it has an Uwatec (blue) transmitter. I don't need it. I plan on taking it to my LDS to see about getting it verified as operational, but wanted to get an idea as to whether there is interest in such an item.

The blue transmitters are old, and oil filled. As I understand it, they were used with the Aladin Air and Air Z series, and they are incompatible with the models after 2004.

(See the listing at Instruction manuals (computers) - SCUBAPRO-UWATEC.

If someone does still have those old models - which SP Uwatec will not support anymore because of design flaws, then you should be able to get a $100 or so for it.

BTW, I never opened one, but understand the 'filled' screw tops (3 of them) have a #4 or #3 Torx.

I still use my old Air Z. I would be interested in the transmitter if it had any battery capacity left. The battery is not changeable so if it is done it is of no value. To check the battery you have to pair it up with an Air Z under pressure to see the read out. If it has some charge left (>50%) I would be interested. brian
