Instructor recommendation in Los Angeles/ OC

I have 3-4 friends who want to get certified. Can anyone here make some recommendations to a good instructor and fairly priced?

I'm unsure what his current prices are but Bob Nimmo was my OW instructor. He did an excellent job in the classroom, pool and ocean dives. At the time he was at Pacific Wilderness in San Pedro, but I believe he is now working at Dive n' Surf in Redondo Beach.

I accompanied one of his OW classes on their first dives in the ocean after they had completed their pool work. Steve had the students executing skills hovering in the water column on their first dive (NOT on their knees sitting in the sand silting everything). I was very impressed.

I don't know what Steve Millington's prices are, but he is a fantastic instructor, beautiful diver, and a fun guy. He is among the few OW instructors that I can stronlgy recommend.

Not all instructors are the same quality. This is one recommendation that will assure you a very solid foundation of skills! In scuba, cheaper isn't always better, often you get what you pay for.

As for location, it doesnt really matter... OC area or LA area are ok with us.

I'd also recommend Steve Millington. Have heard only good things about his teaching. He's a lovely diver.
