I know there is a way to show text instead of the URL when inserting a link, so how do I do it???

Thanks

You mean like this?

You mean like this?

click on the little link icon- globe with the chain (symbolizes that the world wide web will imprison all of us). Then paste your link and hit enter. vBulletin will insert the hypertext. You can then type in your text.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I thought there used to be a prompt when I clicked on the link button - I think I turned it off a long time ago. Now I don't know how to flip the switch back on :D.

The easiest way is to type out your entire sentence, then go back and highlight the words that are to appear in the link. Once this is done, click on the Insert Link button and paste in the website address. You'll then see your highlighted words as a link; no need to type anything additional in.

That worked very easy annasea, I couldn't get it to do the globe and chain thing.

Thanks

You're most welcome.
