I've got an Inon UFL-M150 ZM80 lens/67mm connection for a test in the Red Sea nxt week.
I'll try to use it with 45mm Pana lens and Zen macro port.
Any experiences/recommendations will be very much appreciated!

Thx in advance......

I too am curious about this add on lens. The instructions say to zoom to 80mm equivalent, to fill the frrame. Otherwise the image is a circular fisheye image inside a black border. See:

I don't know what will happen with the 45mm, since it is a 90mm eq. lens. Did you test it in a bathtub or pool to see what kind of image results? Love to see some pics.

The answer can be very short...... I didn't get this combo to work. It gives you a nice round picture and will NOT focus properly...
But the 45mm in the ZEN macro port works wonders! Got some smashing pics; will post some soon.

This lens is designed for consumer compact (AKA point-N-shoot) cameras and is not designed for interchangeable lens cameras. I confirmed this with the Inon CEO at DEMA.

Interesting that I see Inon have tested this on the EPL3/PT-EP05L with 14-42 II lens and it works fine, it seems to me the only difference between EPL2/PT-EP03 and the EPL3/PT-EP05L combination is that the latter has a 67mm threaded port as standard. Therefore with a 67mm Olympus macro lens adaptor (PMLA-EP01) on the front of the standard PT-EP03 port, it should replicate what Inon are saying is fully compatable with the UFL-M150 ZM80 lens. Has anyone tried this combination?

I was also told that it won't work with the XZ-1 because the lens is quite wide. Can anyone confirm the opposite?

While I agree that many after market add-on's many work with cameras they were not designed for it does not mean that they work well. You can see by the information attached to Mr. Hattori's photo that the ISO was set at 1600 at F/16 and !/30th second to get the blue water background. This was done to get any depth of field with the lens. While the lens is a fisheye it needs to be focused very close and has only a few millimeters of DOF. DOF is much much greater with compact cameras because they have sensors around five times smaller than the sensor in the M43 cameras. This means greatly reduced DOF with the M43 camera when used with the Inon lens. If you go to the Inon web site and look at the images taken with compact cameras you will see ISO settings in the 100 range, at F/5.6 to F/8 and shutter speeds in the 1/60th and higher range to get the same blue watter background. This is a big trade-off to me for using the lens with an M43 camera.

I would also like to say that as a member of the media we are given access to product shots (like new housing, ports and such) by many equipment manufactures for product reviews and such all the time. Iamges like Mr. Hattori's wonderful nudi however are clearly covered under copyright (©) law and while I am sure that Inon is happy to see their products featured on the web it should be noted that you got Mr. Hattori's permission to use his photo. I point this out because within the last few days many internet web sites like Wetpixel.com went black for a day over how to handle this very issue.
