Just flew down to Grand Cayman and start diving this Sunday. Went to get all my camera gear put together for my first day of diving and can't find my eneloop batteries!!

Has anyone used regular rechargeable batteries with this strobe and if so, did you have any problems with the strobe overheating??

I know INON recommends the hybrid nimh batteries and that's all I've ever used with it for the past few years.... but the thought of diving for a week (4 dives a day) plus diving the Kittywake without a strobe is heartbreaking!!

The camera pro where I'm at won't be in until monday so I won't know what types of strobes they rent out and if what then have will work with my xz-1 until then.

I have used regular non rechargable alkalines in my wife's s2000 and my d2000 with no problems. They seem to heat up less than nimh rechargebales.
