To me it's physics. Higher temperatures tend to make dissolved gas (nitrogen, oxygen, etc.) to be come less soluble & tend to come out of solution, like the fish in the pond in the summer tend to belly up when the water temperature is high & there are no surface current. I see them are gasping for air by swallowing water & air near the pond surface.

I never understood the hot tub after diving. People don't understand the risk.

That's why the staff shut down the hot tubs on some cruise ships after dark.
On CRUISE ships...why exactly? I'm confused. They're worried about SCUBA divers. Really?

The reason why they close the hot tubs is not because of scuba divers potentially getting bent.
It has to do with what the other passengers will do in the hot tubs when no one is around in the middle of the night and which is presumedly why Heidi Ho will not get in a public hot tub.

Sorry, I got a bit lost there. I thought that we were talking about accelerated bubble formation in a hot tub. Meeting Herm the Sperm in a jacuzzi is an entirely different kettle of fish. My apologies.
