I have a Sherwood Outback wing that has a sticking inflator. i have a dive rite rec wing that is not usable. i was wondering if all inflators are universal (as far as hooking up to the bladder).

Thank You

There can be differences in attaching the whole assembly to the bladder, but swapping just the inflator is usually relatively easy.

I had the Genesis version of the Outback for a while before selling it to a co-worker, and I have the Scubapro version of a Rec Wing that I use as a cold water singles wing. Both use a standard 1" diameter corrogated inflator hose, so you should be able to interchange the two inflators.

Some inflators use a small pin to capture a cable for a shoulder dump while others use a larger diameter pin, but most pull dumps have a cable with a loop large enough to accommodate either.
