Just back from week aboard AquaCat and have lost the rubber cap on Oceanic BCD inflator hose. Q1 - Is a cap necessary? Q2 - If yes, where can I get a replacement?

It is useful only to protect the valve surface from damage during transit and storage. Common mistake is to install the cap before soaking, rinsing, and drying the valve. I have removed and discarded mine.

thanks awap - appreciate the quick response. Now I have to remove the cap from the other BCD and resoak etc.
