Ziplock baggies work for me. I even stuff a beach towel in a large zipper pouch to keep it dry from waves crashing over the boat.

I've heard of people getting injured when their dry box implodes at depth. It's probably not great for your phone either.

Im not dumb enough to take my phone or wallet underwater, and I was not injured, but I guess I was dumb enough to not understand the physical power of pressure.

I used to use a small dry box just to hold my keys, and some cash for tipping - about the size of a deck of cards.

The box held up fine on dozens of 60' shore dives. But when I went down to 100', I was startled by an implosion underneath my wetsuit at my chest. This thing had pretty thick walls, but the pressure broke it.

Gave me a better understanding of how much water pressure we are dealing with.

I bought this for about $20 over a year ago and have used it for over a dozen dives. Keeps my phone, keys and cash safe and I take the plastic key with me underwater so I know my important stuff is safe as well.
