Does anyone make an inductively (contactless) charged dive light. My toothbrush is charged that way, so why not have a semi-permenantly sealed dive light?:06:

I don't know of anybody that does a dive light, but a bit of research on electric cars should pop up some systems that use inductive coupling at high frequency. IIRC, it was 500KHZ range. Higher power density than what can be achieved at 60Hz like the toothbrushes.

I avoid re-inventing something when I can use technology already developed for another field.

Hydrogen offgassing, however, may be such a problem that you end up needed to open the casing anyway.
