My last trip to Roatan I got 3 or 4 tanks with only about 2,100 lbs of pressure so I requested another tank. A couple of times the second tank also read low hence a third. I was wondering what was going on with their equipment but one of the divemasters had a pressure guage and he showed me that the tank my computer said had 2,150 in reality had 2,950. ??? When I got back I took my computer and reg in for servicing. I picked it up but was not able to talk to the tech that had worked on it. The bill was not itemized so I couldn't see separate charges for work on the computerso I don't know if anything was done. I was considering getting a wrist air integrated computer but I have loved my smartcom. I finally figured out how to use all it's features and am leary about restarting the learning curve.

My question is this: what could cause these bad readings, if it is an intermittant problem it might be difficult to monitor and fix. Do I need to immdiately replace it or is there a chance this is a common problem and now having been looked at I have no further worries? going to Palau in Feb and I don't want an iffy unit. Perhaps it is a common problem with an easy fix. Anyone know? Computer is 3 yrs old with 150 dives on it. Everything "seems fine".
