Oh, awful. One of the first folks I met, at CEE.

For all of his foibles, Rich was incredibly important for me in my first years cave diving. When I went to CEE after diving Ginnie as an open water diver, requesting to know more about cave diving instruction, he helped me get the right training. He was the right mixture of tough and fun, and I'll never forget him chuckling as he stole things like the backup light I forgot to turn on before unclipping...

It's been over a decade and we kept promising to dive together outside of class, and it never happened. I'm sad to learn now it can never happen. Proud to have his name on my full cave card.

My condolences to his family and other friends and students.

I just saw this.
RIP, brother.

I'll raise a Havana Club high for you tonight.

I never met you, but I raise my Sangria glass in your name . 🙏🙏🙏. blow bubbles where ever you go !
