Image Quality of DSLR vs advanced P&S?

Thanks to all of you for an excellent thread. It couldn't have come at a better time.

As one who is more concerned about the hassle associated with packing a lot of bulky gear I think that I'll stick with a P&S (Canon A720is). But perhaps it is time to buy a strobe and work on technique. Next stop - the Canon Corner for advice on strobes.

Go to the strobe and lighting area instead of the Canon area to ask about strobes or I'll just have to move it LOL
