Does anyone know of a decent image editor/manipulator that preserves the EXIF information as part of the edit process? The ones I've been using so far (ACDSee & PhotoShop LE) seem to strip it. Thanks.

Know of anything cheaper/simpler? I'm afraid I wasn't planning on spending quite that much. I'd much rather spend the $500 on scuba gear than software. :)

I hear you! I felt the same way for a long time, until someone gave me an old copy of photoshop. Once I got over the very steep learning curve, I realized it is a very powerful application. I was able to pickup an "upgrade" to version 7 ( I think I started with version 4 ) for only $99. I consider it money well spent. It even included a very good tutorial.

download a free EXIF reader. [/URL]

Those of you running WindowsXP can also read the EXIF data by simply right-clicking an image file, select properties, then summary. The summary sheet toggles back and forth between "simple" and "advanced". If you click the advanced button, it will display all of the EXIF information in the file.
