That is so laughable.

Unfortunately, that is the type of attitude along with the poor spelling that is often found among DIR proponents. I believe more divers would be interested in the classes if there weren't so many DIR students putting down everyone else.

I would have to (sadly) second that opinion. Fundies is an excellent course, however some graduates become obsessed with thinking they are the "bees-knees". It's a strange phenomenon, but one I see replicated in other fields as well. Nothing is as great a turn-off as those who preach vs. letting others discover.

I have a policy of double-checking my own spelling whenever I correct somebody else's.

no, I am not a navy seal. but the term "frogman" has been used for eons to describe divers, so guess what :D
