Later this year, I'm going to go Nitrox. I currently have the Oceanic Veo 100, and I was guessing that it is not designed for enriched air.

I was thinking of bumping up to the Veo 180, or any other brand, but I want to stay around $250 - $275 for right now, and I like the console models so I'm not looking for a wrist type.

I checked out divetank.net, but I'm just not sure what I should be looking for, before I shell out the bones.

Thanks

I think if you're happy with the computer you have then the Veo 180 is a good choice.

R..

Instead of the 180, I'd tell you to go with the Versa Pro. It has a larger display, and seems easier to use with it's buttons. Also, you are looking at $269.95 before you take your scubaboard discount - so you're below $250 delivered to your door... And if you want the download cable... you can get that for $50 when you buy the computer.

The 180's will come in at about the same price - but unless you have a need to go for the smaller footprint, I think you'll find the display of the Versa to be much better.

bigger displays are always nice, i did one dive with a veo and didn't like it because of the small display..

So if I get something with a larger display, that means that I'm going to have to reconfigure how my gagues work, right? Where the 180, would pop into place right where the 100 is.

I'm not opposed to a larger unit, I'm just wondering if it involves extra costs.

Thanks fo the help, everyone.

Had the Oceanic Versa Pro... upgraded to the Atom with transmitter... only thing I miss is the larger display... really helpful in murky water.

I ended up with the ATMOS 2 from my LDS over the new XR line from Aeris for the size reason. The Versa Pro is the same unit in a differant package. Larry's deal is really a good price. I ended up with a wrist unit because I like it better. You might want to consider that if you haven't thought about it.

I didn't get the VEO 100 because of the missing Nitrox feature and I am glad I waited and saved a bit more. I am very happy with the ATMOS 2.

I have 2 Versa Pro's, one for me, one for my wife. Been very pleased with them so far. As they're no discnotinued, deals are to be had. Larry's price on them is quite good. If I had the cash right now I'd buy one just to have a spare.
