OK - for most of you, that's not a big deal, but I have to admit - I'm pretty excited. I haven't been there before.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday, June 27th and 28th. I met a local guy who was heading down (he hangs out with a bunch of folks from rec.scuba  ). I needed to head through the Detroit area to pick up a tank I just bought from our very own Detroitdiver, so it was a good excuse for a trip.

Who's going to be there?

Glad to hear your finally getting down there since you have never been. You will enjoy it. There are a lot of sights to see and some good diving to be had. I, myself will not be there. I will be heading up to Isle Royale in Lake superior which is a long drive from Indianapolis. Were going on a week long liveaboard with RLT divers. Have fun

I'll be teaching an OW class there that weekend

Maybe we've already met, Mike. Seems that every second guy I meet at Gilboa is a Mike. We'll be hanging out with Luann & Mike and possibly some of the Indy group. If Beeks is there he'll probably be closeby.

Watch for a black Olds minivan with Ontario plates. Old bald guy and young tall guy. Probably be up by the plane dock. Staying at the Crossroads on Friday nite.

Hope to see you there.

I don't know John... the way I feel some days, I'm going to have a tough time keeping track of which one of us is supposed to be the young tall guy and which one is supposed to be the old bald one...

:D

I started to just PM this, but thought I should post instead. For those who haven't been to Gilboa yet. Unless it's changed recently they DO NOT accept credit or debit cards. You need to bring CASH. They will take cheques, but for us Canadians, the bank at home will charge a major fee for processing when you issue it in $USD. It's also a fair drive to the nearest ATM (Ottawa, OH, if I recall correctly). Hope to make it there again this summer, but everything up in the air at the moment.

Boogie711-
I'm considering coming down this weekend, but I need a buddy or few<G>. You guys got room for a newbie? My plans are not set in stone yet, just wondering. Thanx, Jeff

We usually go in over by the dock closest to the plane...or...just ask in the office and they'll help you find me.

Mike-
Was that directed to me?? Unfortunately, I have chosen to go to another event on Saturday as I have a dive lined up for Monday afternoon at a local lake. Thanx, Jeff

Change of plans. We have to go to Haigh this weekend.
