The modeling light is bright and works great. The same issues occurs when I hook up my Nikon D300.
sounds like the battery is fine..I would start to suspect the housing electronics at this point

All - As a quick follow-up, it turned out to be the sync cord. It's odd because, at least visually, the cord connectors on both ends looked fine. Oh well. Thanks for your help! James D.

Glad it was simple problem!

Good luck and have fun shooting :)

James D: I, too, have a D600, Ike hsg, and Ike DS125 strobes. I, too, can only get the strobes to fire one time. Have to turn the primary strobe off and back on to get it to fire again. Had this happen in FL a couple weeks ago on a single strobe cord. I wrote it off to a bad cord as I haven't used that particular cord in a couple years.

Connected the same dual cord/strobe setup to my D90 housing and it fires every time. Switched strobes, batteries, cord - same results. Everything works as expected on my D90 housing, but continues to fire only once on my D600. Went through all settings in camera and verified switch position on housing. Everything appears to be set properly, but still cannot get it to fire more than once.

This thread needs to get bumped to the Ikelite forum...
