The boat crew puts my rig in a box I bring aboard. Once my gear is off, I wait until the dunk tank is empty and rinse it myself. I don't ever leave it bouncing among other cameras!! EVER!!

Lost a video rig because the dive hand put it in the large rinse bucket with the masks (it was too big for the photo bucket). Apparently someone gave a mask a tug and rotated one of the latches out of place. More floods happen in rinse tanks than in the ocean. I would dive with it, dunk it quickly after each dive, then take it back to the hotel or home for a good soaking, working of buttons etc.
