I would be hard-pressed to say that any dive trip I take would top Papua New Guinea on the Star Dancer. We dove north New Britain Island - (Kimbe, Witus, Fathers). I'm headed to Palau next year for my next liveaboard and am pumped, but I can't imagine anything topping PNG - I may go back sometime in the future with my daughter once she's grown (she's 8 now).

If I could only do one LOB in the world I'd have to flip a coin between the Nai'a and the Arenui. Don't see how you could go wrong with either choice.

Been on a dozen. Two were noteworthy Damai to Raja Ampat and Sky Dancer to the Galapagos. The Bilikiki to the Solomons including the Morovo lagoon is pretty nice too.

For me it would be Lammerlaw in the Galapagos or Febrina in PNG or Bilikiki in the Solomon Islands.

All had excellent diving (only Galapagos had Whale sharks and hammerheads) and while some had more amenities than others they all had excellent food, sound facilities and a great attitude to diving. I agree that what you get here will depend on where people have been.

Next most desired for me are Indonesia and Southern Red Sea.

Out of 4 LOB trips so far the Turks & Caicos Explorer has been my overall favorite based on the total experience. Looking forward to going to the Pacific someday in the near future. Have not picked a dream boat yet as the trip is still too far off and I don't want to start torturing myself too soon.
