Have to disagree here. Riding in the panga/inflatable to and from the dive sites there is no shade. Remember that when on the water you get more UV because of the reflection from the water.

Good point, I always wear a dive hood which is on from the moment I kit up, not least for sun protection, so didn't think about that for other people.

You might want a couple of clothes pegs to stop wet stuff that is drying from being blown away.

I bring a couple of buffs, lycra socks x 2-3 pairs, and at least 4 plastic clips for hanging clothes/bathing suits. The clips that I bring are shaped to fit over a railing or a rod but will also work on a clothes line. Example photo, below. A beany and 2-3 rashguards.

As was said by another member above, the reason that I bring extra pairs of socks, is because socks can lose a mate and invariably, I ended up loaning out to others who are suffering from bootie rub sores. I don't go into the water without my buff around my neck because if on surface for any length of time, one will want their face protected. The clips are probably self-explanatory. The clips may not be needed but they are always a convenience.

I hadn't even considered a couple of dives a day over multiple days, and in hot climates

So this tendonitis, blisters, rubbing, sores, do they occur due to how spring and bungee
straps, apply so much extra pressure, due to the one size does not fit many at all system

I don't know but the normal fin strap has always kept my foot in and I've not broken one

Oooh, my first thumbs down on ScubaBoard, exciting! OTF, let me explain, no one in their right mind in Australasia spends any time in the sun (although plenty do), so far from being flippant about such things, I take them seriously. I love hot climates, but you won't see me in the sun unless I'm covered from head-to-toe like a Malaysian school girl.
Why pick on Malaysia? There are many Indonesian schoolgirls who are covered from head to foot; and there are certainly some Malaysian schoolgirls who aren’t!

I'l add a vote for some of these and add a couple. All fairly minor, but great to have available

+ Underwater: lycra socks; lycra bandana / buff (if not already wearing a hood)
+ Dive box: ear clearing oil; 1m of 2mm bungee cord (if not already in your SAD kit); a soft pouch for mask storage (XS Scuba make one) which means that your precious is somewhat protected on-deck
+ Cabin: big clips for securing drying things; folding clothes hangers; Dettol soap bar; ear plugs

The tendons in the top of my feet got inflamed in Galapagos. Same fins/boots I had used for 20 years without a problem and that I continue to use. But I had never done four dives a day for a week.

If a DM hadn't given me some socks, I would have probably had to quit at some point during the second week, which would have been a terrible shame.

Lycra socks are very underrated, I generally carry two pairs as I always manage to lose one sock at some point then find it again when I'm repacking to go home

As the OP is headed to Truk Lagoon I would suggest that they bring the manual for their dive computers. That way when they see a screen that they have never seen before they can read about having a deco obligation.

Oh, another nice to have for the dive box that punches above it's weight in usefulness: a small collapsible / foldable water bucket (e.g. 12L capacity, made of PVC with handles). This is super helpful on a liveaboard to rinse / soak your small gear at the end of each day and keep it all in a single tidy place (not the dunk tanks that contain everyone elses stuff). Optionally bring a handful of Steramine tablets too for your 2nd stages.
