First of all, the plural of octopus is "octopi".
Actually, that's a common misconception. Octopi would infer that the word octopus comes from Latin, however it is from the Greek word oktopous, whose plural is oktopodes. The correct plural for the word octopus is octopuses.

Check again. Octopuses is the perferred plural. Octopi is acceptable, but not preferred. Octopuses is so much more fun to say.
 
As long as we're all jumping on this train, you don't say "first," and then follow up with "secondly" and "thirdly." ;)
 
Put on your hood and then pull it off the top of your head so that it is around your neck.
Put mask on
Pull hood up so that now the mask strap is under the hood.

The only way to loose the mask now is for the strap to break. Really both sides of the strap or it gets pulled out from under your hood. Which should also pull a good bit of hair with it - if you have any hair that is.
