Hi Roatan Buddies -

This is not really a Roatan question, but my Roatan buddies are the smartest guys on ScubaBoard and I need help figuring this one out

I took this picture while diving the Bligh Waters north of Viti Levu Fiji a couple of weeks ago, but I can't seem to identify what kind of moray he is. Any help

Looks like what is called Chainlink Eel in the Mar Caribe. http://www.poseidonsrealm.com/chainlink.htm

It does resemble the Chainlink Eel, but they grow to a maximum of 30 inches...this guy was HUGE! I got a video of him coming out to feed, but don't know how to upload it to SB

I posted the answer in the other thread....Giant Moray. John Hoover has a picture exactly like this one posted on page 105 of his Hawaiian Reef Fishes book.

But that Zebra Lionfish is pretty cool too!!

wow! I knew the lionfish were taking over the Caribbean waters, I had no idea they were cross-breeding so effectively! I guess we need to keep our pets out of the water, too.
