Finally, quality dive software for the iPhone. Very well done! Bravo for making this application available to the dive community for free. Keep up the GREAT work!

As far as future updates, I'd like to see other bubble models made available in the options, e.g. VPM, RGBM, etc. I would also like to see a selection of simple tools, e.g. simple thirds turn pressure calculation, best mix, etc.

What happened to iDeco at the Apple Store?

I followed many links from many different websites hoping to download iDeco and they all dropped me into a generic Apple Store webpage. No iDeco.

I did Searches for it with their Search tools and it was nowhere to be found.

All of the posts I have found on various websites about iDeco seem to be from Sept/Oct/Nov 2008 and I have not found any info from 2009.

How can I get iDeco?

Thanks,
JRB-Bldr

As I was playing with iTunes, I loaded up iTunes store & wrote ideco in the top right search bar & got ideco as the 2nd on the list.

Ken - thanks for the update.

Previously I was not aware that I needed to have ITunes installed on my PC in order to download the applications. I now have it installed and can now 'see' the iDeco application listed for downloading.

My current problem is that the Apple Store will not give me a Registration ID without my giving them detailed credit card info.

Brock was kind enough to point me to an Apple Store FAQ about "Create an iTunes App Store account without a credit card". Unfortunately the info in not accurate. Apparently they are not referencing the current Registration ID info screens. There is no longer a CREDIT CARD - NONE option on the screen like the Apple Store FAQ suggests.

Therefore, until this is fixed, those of us who sincerely want to download this valuable and FREE application cannot do so without giving them full credit card info.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to resolve this I would welcome the input.

Thanks

I believe the policy given on the iTunes App Store is that they will not charge your card if you don't purchase any fee-based apps. They just use it for the free stuff to "prove" that you are likely to be an adult and the listed person. At first this policy bothered me, but then I got to thinking that I don't have a problem giving my card to some teenage waiter I don't know who takes it away to who-knows-where. A high profile company like Apple isn't going to do stupid things with the card number. Besides, if they were to charge my card, the credit card company would return any amount charged as a chargeback, so what's the real risk.

FYI, in the near future, iDeco will be a pay app.

You could go buy a gift card and put that into iTunes. However, since there is a fee associated with buying a gift card, that's not truly a no-cost solution.

I don't currently have a credit card on file with iTunes. I put one in at one point to buy a specific app, and then I removed it. If your goal is to not give apple your card info at all, that won't work. But if it's just to prevent them from having access to it, it may.
