Which is the best way to become Instructor after DM.
(a) AI and then 9 days IDC and IE
(b) 12 days IDC and IE

( Is to good to give a break and work in Dive shop after you DM or AI before appearing for IDC IE)

How many days is EFRI exam?

PADI ? Go straight through. You get on a roll doing the presentations in the AI, then just roll on through the OWSI and the IE.

I'd suggest going straight through too. The continuous exposure is tiring, but the stuff stays in your brain better I think.

As has already been said, most people go straight through from DM to the IE, by taking the full IDC. However, that being said, some of our IDC Candidates prefer to slow things down a bit by doing their AI first. Then, when they reach the stage where they feel ready to do the rest of the IDC then the IE, they go for it. It's really a personl thing.

Not quite sure what you mean by this... can you clarify? EFR Instructor is a separate course; after you successfully complete it, you get your EFR rating.

Pax,

I'm finishing my DM - PADI .Thanks I think I will go stright for IDC IE instead of the AI Bit. Can I carry all my Instructor manuals in Digital form for the IDC as carrying so many books is really difficult. Will there be any problem if I use my Lap top in IDC

Good choice. Personally, I think AI is more for people who get to that point and realize they really don't want to teach after all. Although it can be a stepping stone for people with limited funds, as well.

I used my lap top in IDC and IE. No issues or problems in either.
