Any Ice Diving plans for the group this winter?? I am up for it.

Scott

I may be wrong but I don't think many of us have overhead certs.

I am up for cold water though.

I am going to start working on another trip to Gilboa soon. Stay tuned.

Chad

it is act a ice diving cert..Scott

There's some more falling, and it is really windy today...maybe we should head north...

interested in taking some ice diving training in the future. Unfortunately training funds for this year are used up in becoming an instructor. Until such time as the funds are built up for more training I would like to hear from those who are ice diving.

Just a side question....

Does Gilboa freeze over in the winter? Inquiring minds want to know. This would influence trip planning.

I'm up for some ice diving. I have seen pictures of Gilboa with ice on it but it hasn't happened since I've been going there.

BTW, I know a good ice diving instructor who is all rigged with ropes and a chain saw.

I don't think Gilboa has frozen over completely in the last 5 years as the winters have been too mild but it has frozen over. If the weather keeps up the way it has, this may the winter is does. By the way, we have several inches of snow on the ground left over from yesterday's snow fall. If you are coming up to Gilboa this weekend, bring your snow boots!

By the way, great to meet you last weekend. Let me know when you all are coming up again, I would be glad to join you for a dive. Really like to ice dive again.
