We want to dive with you this weekend!

If you made it out on one of our previous winter ice dives, you know that the diving conditions were fantastic! The weather has been great and we had a huge number of divers taking advantage of the conditions. This weekend may be even better with fantastic visibility and warmer weather. The conditions are typical for spring. The quarry is covered in ice and as of last Sunday there were two to three inches. If it is cold this week there should be more. We will be cutting shore access holes near the boat ramp, the ladder entrance and the south entrance so you can find a place to dive both days.

White Star Quarry is open for diving this weekend, March 7 -8 from 10am - 4pm. We really would love to see you out there for a dive. Please come early because we must have everyone off of the ice by 4. We will have soup, hotdogs and hot drinks as well as a heated changing area and heated gathering places. The weather is supposed to be warmer than usual for this time of year. There is ICE on the quarry so you will need to have an Ice diver certification to dive (or be taking the course) and register at the Scuba Concession in person. We will do our best to help you with finding a buddy if you need it. We look forward to having you dive with us!

Remember, the quarry will be opening for diving every day on APRIL 1st

Hope to See you!

Update 3/7/09
There is open water on the North Side of the quarry and Ice on the south side so whatever diving you want to do you can pick it.

See you tomorrow... the weather should be warm even if it is raining.
