ice diving events

Does anyone know of any ice dive events going on the weekend of Jan. 30th within 4hrs drive from Chicago?
Alternately, is anyone interested in doing some ice diving that weekend?

Yes, there will be an ice social at Wazee over Feb. 13th weekend...I'm referring specifically to this weekend, Jan.30th.

its not a event our group has the rigs,harnesses,rope, and ice cutting stuff, one divers getting a cert, Sat/Sunday from what I see in our email traffic with the group time is 11 a.m. from 9.00a.m. I am sure some one would hold the line for you!

Hey up in Cold Wisconsin our dive( GROUP) not as in a club-way too many rules and dues in a club! is doing 2 days of ice diving and ice cert on one of our gal's in the group she's diving wet at usual! on Long Lake,near Dundee,Wisconsin This weekend,

I am sure way more ice dives will be in the mix too,long lake is not much of a dive for depth but for vintage bottles & bell anchors its a ware house till all the muck divers in the group clean her out!

Translation; The Deep six Dive Group is doing some ice diving on Long lake near Dundee Wisconsin this weekend. We will be meeting at the boat launch at Long Lake Rec area at 11:00 am Saturday and Sunday. A quick google and mapquest will get you directions.

Guys, Thanks for the invite. I really do appreciate your responses. Looks like I won't be able to make it up there this weekend...work getting in the way of diving. Have fun.
Please do post on this thread next time you're having an ice dive...I will try to join you.

Well, it was a great day to dive, 14" ice,good vis, water temps in the higher 30's,not much wind at all,Fred was finding cans,Wendy is one dive or two from her Ice dive cert!and that Minnesota ice saw made short work on opening the hole!

Scuba Emporium is going to Haigh Feb 6th and 7th if there is ice.
I know that I am not going to be there but I know a few folks who are.
