Caryn:
I spoke with three travel agents, and Iberostar was the first choice of all of them. Now I'm wondering if they pay a higher commission than the other hotels?? Occidental Grand was significantly more expensive the week we went, otherwise I would've considered it. Next time I think we'll stay in town, it seems like a really good choice, especially for being able to sample the local restaurants for dinner. We'll just hit a beach club if we want a nice day on the sand, or head over to Playa Del Carmen. Although we were either diving or napping the whole time, so the beach didn't matter much!

I like the Melia Cozumel great place and good food. Agent I used was www.greatexpeditions.biz they booked the all-inclusive for us. Then I dove with a group that wasn't a cattle car operation great dives. Their website was http://www.cozumel-diving.net/edds/ very good group to go with.
